Two identical pack of cards A and B are shuffled thoroughly. One card is picked from A and shuffled with B. The top card from pack A is turned up. If this is the Queen of Hearts, what are the chances that the top card in B will be the King of Hearts?
Answer
52 / 2703
54/(52*53)
is dat correct??
i think it is 52/(51*53)
here there are 2 cases
case 1:king of heart is picked picked from A
in this case probability of of having the top card in B is king of hearts is (1/51)*(2/53)=2/2703
case 2.king of heart is not picked from A
in this case probability of of having the top card in B is king of hearts is (50/51)*(1/53)=50/2703
so the total chances=(2/2703)+(50/2703)
=52/2703
